We understand how important the early years of a new lawyer’s career are and we are looking to offer our next hire an opportunity to join our close-knit team and learn how to run their own files directly from the firm’s principal and senior lawyers.
The successful applicant will be given supervision, mentoring and the opportunity to run their own files (with support).
We can offer the excitement of a new and challenging role with the comfort of competent and diligent supervision by experienced lawyers.
We see the successful candidate as a motivated individual seeking to develop their career and looking to be exposed to a variety of commercial, property and estate planning work.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your role will be within the firm’s property team, managing residential and commercial property transactions and supporting senior practitioners on other property and commercial matters.
There may be opportunities to work in the firm’s other key practice areas – commercial litigation, structuring and complex estate planning and administration.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have the right to practice in Queensland and hold a current practising certificate.
We will also consider recent graduates with prior experience with the preference being that they are soon to be admitted.
Previous legal and/or conveyancing experience is preferred but not required.

We act in a modest number of residential and commercial conveyancing matters and we are looking for someone to run those files from A to Z under the supervision of our solicitors.
As we are not a high-volume conveyancing firm, the successful candidate will also be exposed to a variety of commercial, property and estate planning work.
We can offer flexibility including hours and working-from-home options depending on the needs of the successful candidate.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your role will include exposure to a range of work including residential and commercial property transactions and development work. There will be opportunities to work in the firm’s other key practice areas – commercial, litigation, structuring and complex estate planning.
Depending on the candidate, there may be room for the role to develop into a practice manager position.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will ideally have conveyancing experience and the ability to run a conveyance from start to finish with little assistance.
