Following his admission as a Solicitor in 2002 James has worked in key roles at some of Queensland’s leading commercial and property law firms. Based on the Gold Coast for the past decade, James has developed a strong practice in commercial and property law with a strong focus on small to medium enterprise.

Admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, James is able to provide practical, pragmatic and effective legal advice in plain English.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family and training (and sometimes competing) in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where he is a broken down old brown belt.

Sidnee is a Senior Associate with Ballantyne Law. Sidnee manages the firm’s property team and also works in the firm’s commercial and estate planning divisions.

Sidnee is on the Board of the Southport Chamber of Commerce and has been a guest lecturer at Griffith University’s School of Business and Economics on Estate Planning topics.

A proud Kiwi, Sidnee moved to Australia in 2011 and graduated high school and university on the Gold Coast where she fell in love with the southern end of the city so in her free time you might find her walking along Currumbin beach or frequenting her favourite bars and restaurants in Palm Beach and Burleigh.

She now works in our commercial litigation team.
